Dr Jayasuriya is a Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Physician. She is a graduate of the University of Newcastle and completed her fellowship in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW).

She has been a Staff Specialist with the Department of Respiratory Medicine at CHW since 2015. She is also a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney and completed a PhD with the Airways Physiology and Imaging Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. Her PhD explored new paediatric lung function techniques and during her candidature, she introduced Pulmonary Magnetic Resonance Imaging, to CHW. She continues to have an active role in paediatric respiratory and sleep research.

Her clinical special interests include severe asthma, the management of persistent cough and the investigation of childhood snoring and sleep-disordered breathing.
