Nicotine Treatment Specialist

Professor Renee Bittoun is a clinical academic in smoking cessation and nicotine addiction with more than 35 years experience. She is considered a international expert in the field and pioneered the first Smokers' Clinic in Australia in 1979. She has received awards for her pioneering work and has been visiting professor in many universities outside Australia. 

Professor Bittoun is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the international peer-reviewed Journal of Smoking Cessation published by Cambridge University and Hindawi Press. She has published many articles, chapters and books on smoking cessation. She is currently a Conjoint Professor at Notre Dame University, Australia and And Professor, Head of the Nicotine Addiction Unit, Lifestyle Medicine, Avondale University, Australia. She is also a consultant and teacher in tobacco treatment to NSW Health, National Indigenous Health group mental health groups and drug and alcohol treatment programmes both nationally and internationally.

She specialised in vaping and smoking cessation clinic-for all ages, adolescents and adults with personalised, one-on-one treatment over a period of at least six weeks involving a tailored cessation plan with behavioural and other treatment advice.
