Respiratory Medicine
A clinician-researcher with expertise in lung physiology and complex lung function

Professor King is a clinician-researcher at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. He is the research leader of the Airway Physiology and Imaging Group at the Woolcock, and is staff specialist in the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Royal North Shore Hospital, where he directs the asthma service and is the Medical Director of the Respiratory Investigation Unit. He is Professor of the Northern Clinical School of the University of Sydney and Practitioner Fellow of the National Health and Medical Research Council. He currently supervises PhD and other postgraduate students of the University of Sydney. '

Professor King is a medical graduate of Otago University, New Zealand and his PhD was a study of airway physiology in asthma using SPECT imaging at the University of Sydney, Australia. He completed postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Sydney and the Pulmonary Research Laboratory of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Physiological Society, Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and Asia Pacific Society of Respirology.
