Dr Venessa Chin is a medical oncologist at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, specialising in the treatment of cancers of the lung and head and neck. She is also co-appointed as a post-doctoral research officer at the Garvan-Weizmann Centre for Cellular Genomics. She has a long-standing interest in how genomics can be used to influence clinical care and is currently focused on novel cellular genomics techniques. Dr Chin is currently using cellular transcriptomics to profile patients with advanced lung cancer in order to understand the immune response to immunotherapy agents.
