Early Career Researchers

Dr Sheikh graduated with a PhD from the University of Sydney and Master of Science in Drug Delivery from University College London, England. Her research interest focuses on drug delivery to the lungs. Her skills extend from the development of inhaled formulations to physical-chemical evaluation and bio-characterisation, using cell culture to ensure suitability for inhalation delivery. Her research also involves development of novel cell models to investigate the mechanisms of interactions between drugs for optimal treatment of cystic fibrosis and other respiratory diseases. She is active in presenting and communicating the outcomes of her research at national and international conferences, and in collaborating with other researchers.
