Senior Medical Receptionist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic professional to become an integral part of our patient-facing reception and administration team. This opportunity will see you responsible for leading and managing the reception workflow and a team of receptionists. You will be integral to providing excellent administrative and reception services and supporting our specialist clinicians in delivering high quality care to our patients. You will thrive in a busy, patient-first environment and working with a friendly reception team.

Responsibilities 

• Welcome and assist patients and visitors on arrival at the reception desk
• Manage appointment bookings, referrals, incoming calls, and email enquiries
• Manage patient billing, payments, and updating files
• Liaise and engage with our referral network
• Manage clinician-patient inquiries and problem-solve as required
• Administrative duties include scanning, filing, photocopying, attaching documents to patients’ files, rosters.
• Assist with other administrative tasks when required

About you

• Exceptional customer service skills 
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Confident and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• An eye for detail and accuracy
• Efficient and capable, shows initiative and collaborates well with team members 
• High standard of professionalism and ethics 
• Professional presentation 
• Highly computer literate

Experience

• Significant experience as a medical receptionist and/or administrator in a clinical/health setting
• Practice management software proficiency
