Lung cancer is the 4th most common cancer in Australia and has the highest mortality rate.

With $3 million committed from the Baird Government to establish a Lung Cancer Research Centre at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, lung cancer research and treatment is set to be revolutionised.  

The Centre for Lung Cancer Research will be Australia’s first centre dedicated to advancement of the disease, offering high-tech facilities to promote large translational research programs within the field. To find out more go to
