Dr Gomes dos Reis graduated with a PhD from the University of Sydney - Medical School and is a researcher at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. She has a research interest in the development of aerosol formulations and medical device technologies. Her expertise includes the delivery of drugs and biological molecules such as nucleic acids, peptides and proteins to the lungs. With vast experience in the development of nanoparticles, liposomes and the use of various particle engineering techniques, she is focused on both development and testing of these drug delivery systems in biological systems and 3D models for lung cancer. Dr Gomes dos Reis is the chair of the Next Generation Committee of the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research. She maintains active participation in the activities of The International Society for Aerosols in Medicine.
